Epson Australia – EH-TW Specifications

Overall the performance of the Epson TW was very good and this was primarily due to the accurate greyscale and colour gamut after calibration.

However it was unfortunate that the out-of-the-box performance was not as good with an over saturated colour gamut and td3600 in both greyscale tracking and gamma. It is impressive that Epson includes such comprehensive calibration controls at this price point but it would be nice to see a more accurate preset for those that are unable to take elson of the calibration controls.

Unfortunately the video processing is not as good as the HQV processing included on the TW and as a result standard definition material didn’t look as good on the TW However there were no such problems with high definition material and the resulting images were excellent with plenty of detail and smooth judder free motion from 24p material. The other area where the TW was clearly inferior to the TW was with blacks and unlike the surprisingly deep blacks on the TW, the blacks on the TW had that dark grey look that we have come to expect from an LCD projector.

Epson EH-TW3600

Images looked fine in bright scenes but with dark scenes there was a decidedly washed out look and we wouldn’t recommend the TW for use in a light controlled dedicated home cinema.

However on the plus side the TW is much brighter and whilst this might be detrimental to the overall black levels is does mean that the TW is capable of producing quite a bright image. This might prove useful if you are planning on using a projector in a room with a lot of ambient light where washed out blacks are hw3600 be expected and overall brightness is more important. The TW was certainly capable of lighting up epdon reasonably large screen but if this is your intention there is the possibility of being able to yw3600 pixel structure at a normal viewing distance.

Despite the brighter bulb the TW was reasonably quiet, especially in ECO mode and we couldn’t hear it when watching normal viewing material. As always with LCD projectors the inability to seal the light path which might result in ‘dust blobs’ where contaminants in the light path are visible in the projected image. You can mitigate this problem to a degree by being careful and trying to keep the amount of dust to which the projector is exposed to a minimum but if you get a dust blob it can be very annoying and difficult to remove.

Ultimately whilst the TW offers great performance for a projector at this price point, the superior video processing and blacks on the TW make it a better choice if you can afford the extra cost. However if your budget is tight or you plan on using the projector in a room with a lot of ambient light then the TW is certainly worth a look.

Read about our review ethos and the meaning of our review badges. Steve Withers takes a look at Epson’s entry level home cinema tw36600 by Steve Withers Aug 31, at So far we have managed to take a look at two of the projectors in Epson’s Home Cinema range, the top of the line TW and the mid-range TW We were impressed with the performance of both and felt that the TW in particular offered excellent value.

However what if you are looking for a slightly cheaper projector that is perhaps a bit brighter? Whilst not having the superior video processing and bigger contrast ratios found on the higher end models, it does include the same comprehensive calibration controls and a claimed brightness of 2, lumens.

So let’s take a look and see how it measures up Design and Features The Epson TW shares exactly the same white chassis as Epson’s TW and as we mentioned in the review for that projector we would prefer it if there was epxon option for a black version as well. Otherwise it has the same reasonable build quality and weight of the TW whilst still retaining a slightly plastic feel. The setup of the TW was very straight forward and thanks to the three feet it was easy epsson level the image with the projector screen.

Once level it just took a couple of minutes to zoom up the image, then shift it tw600 that it precisely filled the projector screen and focus the image.

Eson TW sports the same monochrome system that we saw on the TW but with a few slight changes. The first sub-menu is Image which as the name suggests includes all the controls needed for correctly setting and calibrating the image. There is also a Power Consumption control which adjusts the brightness of the bulb and provides the choice of Normal or ECO and a control for the Auto Iris function.

Finally there is a sub-menu for all the Advanced calibration controls which we will come back to later. Out-of-the-Box Measurements For the purposes of our out-of-the-box measurements we used the ‘Cinema’ preset, selected the 2. Calibrated Measurements For these measurements we used the White Balance control RGB to calibrate the greyscale and we also used the Customisable Gamma to try and correct the gamma curve.

Epson Europe EH-TW3600 Projector

When it came to the video deinterlacing tests the results weren’t quite as good with the TW producing jaggies on the rotating line at a spson acute angle than we saw with the TW In the motion adaptive deinterlacing test the performance was also not as good as we would have liked with significant jaggies on the bottom on the three moving lines.

On the film detail test the TW’s performance was good, correctly locking on to the image but in the cadence tests the performance was a mixed bag. The TW was able to correctly detect the 3: The projector did however have no problems displaying mixed film material with scrolling video text and was able to reproduce the text without any shredding or blurring. In contrast to the standard definition tests the TW performed much better in the high definition tests and with the player set to i the projector correctly deinterlaced and displayed both the video and film resolution tests.

With i material the projector also had no difficulties in showing video text overlaid on film based material and also handled 24p content without any problems. We also checked that the TW was showing detail down to video level 18 which represents reference black. Once again it was showing detail down to 18 but not below it which means it is correctly reproducing black whilst maintaining appropriate shadow detail.

Picture Performance Whilst the TW might not be perfect it was wpson capable of a very good performance, especially with high definition content. This high level of performance is mainly thanks to the accurate greyscale and colour gamut which form the backbone of any good video image. The colours appeared natural and the transitions from black to white were smooth and free of discolouration. The gradations in colour, which are always a strength of LCD projectors, were equally as impressive and the shadow detail was also good.

When it came to standard definition material the TW performed adequately but epxon somewhat limited by the mediocre video processing.

This was especially true of Freeview broadcasts, although at least there were some noise reduction controls try and clean up the image. Things improved considerably epxon Freeview HD broadcasts and when it came to Blu-rays the TW was capable of producing natural and detailed images with a lovely film-like quality.

The TW also had no problems with 24p and was able to deliver images that were smooth and free of judder.

However aside from the video processing, the other area where the TW was clearly inferior to the TW td3600 with blacks. Unlike the surprisingly deep blacks on the TW, the blacks on the TW had that dark grey look that we have come to expect from an LCD projector.

The TW does include an auto iris function which you can use to try and improve the black levels but we found the associated artefacts and loss of detail in bright parts of the picture to be even more annoying.

On of the reasons epsno the blacks on the TW are not as impressive as on the TW is that the light output if the bulb is much higher. Whilst this might be detrimental to the overall black levels is does mean that the TW is capable of producing quite a bright image.

It also means that the TW can light up a decent sized screen but if you plan doing that you need to be aware that the clarity is such that pixel structure could become visible at a normal viewing distance. This was certainly true when using the TW in conjunction with a 2.

Of course the brighter the bulb, the greater the heat that is generated and the more cooling that is required. However despite this the TW was reasonably quiet, especially in ECO mode and we couldn’t hear it when watching normal viewing material. In fact the biggest problem with the amount of heat the bulb generates isn’t the need for cooling but the fact that the light path cannot be sealed.

This means that LCD projectors can suffer t3600 ‘dust blobs’ where contaminants in the light path is visible in the projected image. You own this Total 0.

This is true but fuck all y’all: Sex Leeches Last time: Arcanotech chapter, baby-powered magic batteries, the Chrysalis Corporation are dumb as shit, blah blah. Let’s htreats about more dumbshit inventions! Unveiled Threats by Ettin. Blankly, he drew his CS Enforcer from its holster and put it under his chin. Vienna was still outside with the dry heaves.

He tried to think of something to say, but nothing really mattered anymore. Without flinching, he pulled the trigger.

He pulled it twice more. He looked at his HK, but decided that would just be ridiculous. This is Unveiled Threatswhat might be termed the gear book for CthulhuTech. However, in these pages, you will find much more that simply what most people think of as gear. There are also artifacts, legendary items of powers capable of amazing things. Some of these weapons might be familiar.

Welcome to Unveiled Threats! Unveiled Threats as a bit of a palate cleanser. Welcome is what you are reading right now. Dealers of Death provides an in-depth look at the firearms, explosives, and armor of the New Earth Government.

It also includes new optional firearms rules and new kinds of ammunition. Tools of the Trade provides a variety of new things for Characters to own and use, including peeks options, medical equipment, and vehicles. It also outlines new rules for drugs and a variety of pharmaceuticals.

Objects de Magie details new rituals designed thrwats give sorcerers access to more and more diversified enchanted objects, from silent communicators to the coveted invisibility cloak. Ancient Objects introduces several legendary magical creations, along unvdiled their histories. Alien Hands provides an in-depth look at the firearms, explosives, and armor of the New Ghreats Government. Appendices includes the index. We want to stay in business. You lose, we lose, everybody loses.

Guns and Words Most of this book can be done in one post, so I’m going to. Dealers of Death can be skipped if you don’t care about guns, but there’s some Chrysalis stuff buried in here! Armorcorp is known for their mastery of materials engineering high-tech defense systems, but they’ve moved into weapons. They’re most responsible for the superconductors used in gauss and rail weapons. As mentioned in the core book, they are a Chrysalis subsidiary and supply the Rapine Storm with weapons.

These guys are an amalgamation of two companies guess who!

Cthulhutech Unveiled Threats : Sandstorm Productions :

They mostly do light weapons and their handguns are used by law enforcement and military agencies all cthjlhutech the world. The most successful defense firm in the NEG. They mostly deal in “high energy weapon systems” like gauss, particle and laser weapons.

They work with other companies a lot and are so close with Armorcorp that a merge might happen eventually. The Eldritch Society is trying to stop it. They focus on chemically propelled weapons and manufacturing really nice ammo for other people’s weapons.

Chrysalis Corp has a thfeats stake in FN too. They focus on chemically propelled weapons too.

Recently they tried moving into energy weapons by undercutting Electroarms on a charge beam research contract, but an “undetected flaw” caused some cthulhtech to explode and disable their mecha mid-combat. After that disaster they backed out of energy weapons and FN cut into a lot of their market share. Norinco is a terrible company that makes shitty versions of other people’s weapons.

Everyone laughs at them and wonders how they stay in business. The secret is to do a lot of business in parts of society where there’s no paper trail! They look like an old weapons first, but really it’s a year-old company using the name. They make all kinds of stuff.

Ultratech tries to make the most cutting-edge weapons systems, obtains loads of military contracts and tries to improve on Electroarms’ designs because fuck those guys. After that are some new rules on electrokinetic gauss and rail guns and needler guns and increasing a weapon’s rate of fire, but nobody cares. There’s also a weapons catalogue stretching from pages 17 to 38 full of stats, fluff and art. It does a good job appealing to the ujveiled of person who loves getting into loads of detail about guns but is too invested in the game to switch to a better system.

Otherwise you can probably skip it, though there’s some setting fluff buried in there. Norinco’s purpose unveildd basically providing cheaper weapons with worse stats so their fluff is hilarious; apparently Ultratech has tried to sue Norinco unvieled ripping their style but “the Chrysalis Corporation is a difficult opponent in a court of law”.

Staggering incompetence suits Chrysalis! Also armour but nobody cares. And bam, first third of the book down! Tools of the Trade is everyday tech. The pre-chapter fiction is about a xenomix girl who hangs out in a nightclub and uses sweet future technology theats take pictures of guys, run a facial recognition search and look them up on “FaceSpace”.

From their profiles she learns their jobs, likes and dislikes, etc. Then they literally just stand there rattling off profiles and make cracks about FaceSpace: What kind of motorcycles do you ride?

I think we like some of the same music. It’s a pretty cool chapter! The items in here are powerful artifacts, the kind adventures are based around. Let’s run through them! Anakhara Stone The Anakhara Stone was allegedly brought to this dimension by Bakhi to tempt people in ancient times, until someone realised it was a bad idea and stole it.

Fast-forward to now and the artifact has been discovered in a hidden temple in Rapine Storm lands by treasure hunters Arudiny and Johnny Fiveaces Hendrik in the pic, stars of the pre-chapter fluff. They probably still have it or whoever hired them killed them for it, or something.

A lot of people are looking for it, and there’s a chance the Bakhi made copies. So what does it do?

Cthulhutech Unveiled Threats

Well, if you touch it it drains all your Ruach Orgone, then immediately cures all your diseases, accelerates your healing rate and takes five years off your age. You can use it again when your Ruach Orgone has regenerated, as much as you like, though it will only take you to your physical prime about The catch is it’s addictive, and using it makes you want to use it again.

Also, if you suffer Stone withdrawl, you age ten years a week until you’re at double what you started. Also, each use makes you Test against gaining an Insanity Point, and if you use it for a year and fail a Hard Tenacity Feat Test you become a liche. The Stone will preserve your body then but if you’re away from it you decay fast. In general, touching this Stone is a bad idea. Also Ghasts, Spawn and other monstrous races can use it without problems because fuck you that’s why.

It gets expanded here!

It’s an ancient circlet the Children of Chaos needed during the rape furry adventure. In short, such a person needs to succeed at a Uhveiled Tenacity Feat Test or spend all his energy seeking a willing sex partner. He is willing to couple with anyone who says yes, regardless of his normal standards. While locked safely away in a magically protected vault in Seattle, the artifact somehow has disappeared.

Whether the Rictus Knife was stolen cthulhutec if it was simply taken by an unscrupulous party within the Society is unknown. However, rumors say that it has once again found its way into the black market, for those with a large enough pocketbook and dark enough urges to seek it.

According to its most primitive steam-driven plans, the Violator appears to be a massive engine, with varying phallic probes on automated articulated arms and intravenous stations around nine reclining chairs — each designed to hold and restrain a Human being. It is designed to be built above a ritual cthulhutfch, functionally raining down whatever it collects onto the spell threxts. However, the few madmen who have actually built this device have created something more advanced.

The automated articulated arms with phallic probes were more advanced, as the victim was suspended in such a way that he could be positioned in any way the sick operator desired. It is ctuhlhutech to anyone upon even casual examination that it is a sick device designed for some kind of torture. Either that, or it is a sex machine for the extreme fetishist.

Peep this thread on the CthulhuTech forums.

Stabby Mc Stabsalot posted: So, I was flipping through the book and I came to the magical items section. Then I came upon the X’an-Tuum Violator.

What kind of mind invents somoething like THA?!?! I have a gun, and I know how to use it!

Feb 20, BJ Rose rated it liked it Shelves: Our hero and heroine have a history that did not turn out well – in fact, he ‘compromised’ her and then refused to marry her, leaving her forced to marry the man her father found for her. She is now widowed and they are thrown together again when Julian’s sister runs off to stay with Sophia. To gain his sister’s compliance, Julian agrees to have Sophia come to London with them, and the two are now forced to deal with their strong emotional attachment and the twin betrayals of the past.

This was a Our hero and heroine have a history that did not turn out well – in fact, trntacion ‘compromised’ katyryn and then refused to marry her, leaving her forced to marry the man her father found for her. This was a better than average telling of this type of story – the author did not drag wmith out to the last pages but had the characters solving past problems one step at a time.

I’ve always loved Kathryn Smith’s historical writing. Love this series too. Apr 22, Carrie Olguin rated it liked it. Entertaining but not memorable. Seven years prior, they were caught in each other’s arms by the heroine’s father. The hero refused kqthryn marry her to car her reputation. A week lalter, the heroine became engaged to another man. Seven years later, they both have a different interpretation of the past.

The heroine is a widow dealing with her lusty brother in law. The hero is trying to marry off his sister to a rich and titled man capable of taking care of her.

The sister is in love Entertaining tehtacion not memorable. The sister is in love with an man she knows her brother will never approve of. She runs tenntacion the heroine for sanctuary so that she won’t have to return for another London season and spend time with the men her brother has approved.

Caer en la tentación

The attraction is still there. But so is the seven years of hurt, mistrust and animosity. The biggest problem I had with the story was the hero’s reaction when he finds out that the heroine knew his sister was in love with an unsuitable man and didn’t tell him.

He considers it a betrayal and overreacts, blaming the heroine for his sister’s actions running way to marry the man she loves. In reality, if he had known his sister’s feelings, he would have done something drastic to keep her away from the man she loved – because he’s a controling male.

Women have honor, too.

Marriage doesn’t mean she stops being her own person, or that she has to give over all her connection, commitments and vows to her husband. The hero learns his lesson. They all forgive each other and promise to do better in the future. If this was a real couple, I’d wonder if they could have a happily ever after. Their primary trust issue was not solved might take a lifetime.

Aunque con tantas cosas em en el mercado dudo que sea pronto.

Pero luego de un par de los mejores libros de Laurens, pienso que esperaba demasiado de ellos. Jun 25, Lin Historical lover It took me 2 years to finally read this book! I read book 1 in the series as a borrowed paperback. I re-read it immediately upon finishing it I loved it that much! I read the sample of book 2 on kindle and totally enjoyed it After that I just flat out refused to pay full price for book 3.

I waited and waited for it to go on sale. I tracked its price and waited and waited Finally I won a challenge and got some prize money so I decided it was high time I read book 3.

I was not disappointed. These stories are different from the usual. The women are strong and overcome great scandal and hardship.

They are passionate and not timid smlth the bedroom. The men are complex and interesting. My only complaint is the books are too rentacion and hard to find in my library. It’s the sort of book I should have been all over, but for some reason it never quite touched my heart.

I am frustrated because I can’t quite explain why it didn’t. There’s a few places where it could have had better editing, zmith as paragraphs where the same adjective or noun is repeated several times. But by and large it’s well-written, with good plotting. I wish I knew what was missing for me so I could point it out! Dec 05, Krissy rated it it was ok Shelves: The book started out okay. Then it trucked along nicely.

It wasn’t outstanding but it wasn’t terrible either. And then the author just ruined what little bit of enjoyment I was having by making the H practically throw a hissy fit over something so stupid. It totally turned me off. The author could have found some other reason for a conflict between the H and h. The one she wrote was terrible. There were times when I would have been sure it was written in the s. Now, saying this is a Freudian analysis of fairy tales might be enough to put some people off. And that would be a real pity. All the same, it would be hard to not feel confronted by some of these interpretations and readings. The short version of what this book is about is that fairy tales are a very particular genre.

There is very little ambiguity to them — at least, not on the surface. Bad people are BAD. Good people are Brunoo.

Psychanalyse DES Contes De Fees

There are no shades of grey. Good people need to be rewarded, bad people need to be punished. People are kings and queens or dirt poor. The author says this is incredibly important as it allows children to know the world depicted is not real and so is a safe place for them to engage their wish-fulfilment — in all its excess and sometimes in all its horror. The problem here is that the moral of the story ought to be left a bit unclear because the same story can mean very different things to the same child at different times while growing up.

Although, after reading this book, I suspect that one of the major audiences for fairy tales really ought to be adults.

Bruno Bettelheim | Open Library

So, what does a Freudian analysis of a fairy tale look like? In fact, unlike in the real world, no penis is ever going to be insignificant. This really was a very impressive book, but there were more than enough penises, repressed Oedipal complexes and castration fears to make a couple of dozen Woody Allen films. One of the things I really believe is that love is about acceptance of someone else, acceptance of them FOR their scars, not despite them.

And that is why love is quite rare, if not, in fact, depressingly rare. It grows into a great tree. But the father marries again and Cinderella is confronted with a step-mother and two siblings. One that sets impossible tasks and then banishes the young girl psyhcanalyse lie in the dirt and in the filth. But this is also a story of brun rivalry; the ugly stepsisters that have ultimate power over Cinderella and who she must degrade herself before.

Such is the jealousy of mother to a daughter seeking to take her place. And such are the obligations of growing up — that what can seem like insurmountable difficulties need to be overcome and what is a horrible refusal of parental care and love is actually motivation for growth out of childhood.

He reminds us that Brujo is a story of Chinese origin — hence the small feet as a sign of elegance. But even if this was not the case, as he makes clear, men are big in fairy tales it is one of the oppositions set up and so the fe a woman the more feminine she will appear to be.

In the Brothers Grimm version of the story the ugly sisters are told by their mother betteheim cut off either their toe or their heal to get their foot to fit into the glass slipper.

He brings the sisters home again and finally Cinderella gets to slide her foot straight into the shoe without effort; a perfect fit. Now, this is the bit I never realised before. The shoe is a metaphor for a vagina. The author here says that the Prince is revolted by the blood from the ugly sisters because it makes the sexual allusions all too clear, and like Cinderella, this is a rite of passage for him too towards being brhno for sexual love.

The point being that it is important that the Prince finds her at home — and covered in filth. Here is the psychanalsye for the child psyvhanalyse believes they are beneath contempt and undeserving of love — that someone will love them despite it all. To which ffes obvious answer is: In fact, more needs to be read into this story.

We humans are in constant danger of believing that we are monsters. We have nightmares and we catch ourselves desiring what we can barely bring ourselves to admit to. Fairy tales allow us to know that these are not signs of mental illness, but are a universal part of the human condition. We are not alone in our nightmares or in our desires. They do not make us evil or wicked or loathsome. They make us human. Tootle liked to play with flowers, but it was very important that he been kept on the right track could a metaphor be more laboured?

A kind of aversion therapy. And finally it work a treat and Tootle grew to be a big train bettehleim never again wanted to ves among the flowers. Something that seems increasingly sad the more you think about it Hard to do a Freudian reading of a story like that — which is part of the problem, because it is also hard to see how a story like that might help someone with the deep psychological challenges that growing up inevitably involves.

Hard not to admit that if you have siblings there were times you might have wished them dead, particularly when they bettelheij to be favoured over you — even if you immediately rejected this wish. But fairy tales are a safe place where such guilty secrets can by played with and learnt from. Tootle leaves no room to play — it is a telling, not a showing.

Bruno Bettelheim

Not because of the castration myths or even that Little Red Riding Hood is really about a young girl exploring the dangerous side of her sexuality. If that is the case then fairy tales are always relevant to us, no matter what our age.

Bauman talks about this fairy tale in Moral Blindness — how the lesson of the story is that everyone needs somewhere to be able to hide their deepest secrets and that being prepared to accept that people — even people you love very much — should be allowed room to conceal some things from you is actually an act of true love. Our whole society rejects this, of course. Love is utter acceptance and so there can be no secrets between lovers.

And although this seems to contradict what I said before about love being about psyfhanalyse of all of our scars — well, this is about love and growing and coming to understand ourselves — beftelheim said anything about consistency or making sense? You can go on and live happily ever after now. View all 31 comments. Dec 16, Fran rated it it was amazing Shelves: I absolutely love this book.

Of lately–few past decades–fairy tales have gotten a bad reputation, often cited as examples of horrible role models for girls ;sychanalyse boys. However, it seems we–modern us–are in part responsible for turning fairy tales into those kind of stories because they weren’t like that originally. In this book Bettelheim explores how dds significant these seemingly out-of-touch with the present world stories are for children’s development.

One of the things we need to unders I absolutely love this book. One of the things we need to understand, he says, is that in their original form, before being twisted into “clean” stories by Disney, fairy tales help children face their earliest and darkest of fears.

The loss of a parent, the transfer of affection from the inner familiar circle to outside friends, the uncertainty of what awaits in the future for us. I have a whole new sense of how fairy tales work and why they have survived through history after reading this book, and if you feel like discovering a whole new level into the complexity of these well-worn and told stories I recommend you to read this book.

Until then, I have been blissfully unaware of the psychological depth of fairy tales and how a lot of major literary works are inspired by them.

Now there are fairy tale studies by the dozen, and many are fascinating: I have read that, in This was the first book which assured me that my enduring interest in fairy tales was scholarly and not something to be scoffed at as juvenile.

I have read that, in the years since this book’s publication, Bettelheim’s analysis has been questioned. However, if you are new to the field of fairy tale studies, this may be the place to start.

It is compulsively readable. View all 4 comments. Dec 14, Manybooks rated it did not like it Shelves: Well, to be entirely fair, I did feel pretty strange and uncomfortable mostly the first time I read The Uses of Enchantment for that course I was taking, and now, more than thirty years after that university level perusal, I no longer really feel all that massively uncomfortable, I just feel as though Bruno Bettelheim is a psyvhanalyse over-the-top with his Freudian fairy tale analyses and I can at least partially enjoy ppsychanalyse also find some rather perverse humour in just how sexually charged the author seems to consider many if not most fairy tales to be and in their entirety in other words, I find the author’s one-sidedness of interpretation rather hilarious and yes also a bit sad, as The Uses of Enchantment really does not seem to show much if any possibility that there are different manners of interpretation possible and dee, that everything is somehow psychologically based on sex and on Freud’s attitudes towards sex.

Now if I were just ranking The Uses of Enchantment for its text and only for its dess, I would most probably be rating it with a low three stars readable but with some definite potential issues and problems. However, after Bruno Bettelheim’s death init has been suggested and also now been pretty much proven without a doubt that he callously plagiarised from colleagues and that even many of his supposed academic credentials were in fact at best misrepresented and fudged a bit.

Now plagiarism is often a problematic accusation in and of itself, as sometimes and even often an author can be accused of academic dishonesty when he or she has bettelheum fact not actively copied another person’s work at all and sometimes, plagiarism is used as a weapon when really, all that happened was that a few quotation marks or footnotes have ended up being forgotten.

However, this does not unfortunately appear to have been the case with Bruno Bettelheim, as in his The Uses of Enchantment he almost verbatim uses entire passages from especially Julius E.

People who love lozier book would say that what I just wrote would be me making my own negativity cloud, barring all positive and great and truly unshitty vibes from coming my way. And if they think that, then they deserve to blame themselves for all and any unfortunate circumstances that occur to them. I think In short, this book advises everyone to whom shit sometimes pf to to learn to blame themselves first for the shit happening as if people who had shit on them needed to feel shittier.

I think the bumper stickers actually had it right this one time: It happens to you, it happens to me, it happens because of deliberate choices and it also happens randomly.

And to blame only your negative vibes for clouding out the winning lottery numbers from you as you bought a lottery ticket is just fucking ridiculous. To believe good happens only because you believe it will happen is a bit dangerous. And if anyone believes this alone, I challenge them to pick a highway overpass and try to Peter Pan their way off of it Thinking you can fly is great, but it is usually not enough by itself.

This is an easy read but don’t let that fool you. The information contained is vital. He does not drone on and on or babble on with needless filler. This book is to the point and gives the information required to learn how to use the law of attraction. It is so simple to understand and the exercises within it further clears up any confusion as to how simple this law it.

I think this is even better than “The Secret”, as it is a step by step guide towards achieving your dreams and attrction your doubts.

A great book; recommended. Apr 24, Lena Tumasyan rated it it was ok. I read the book chapter by chapter by chapter aytraction tried to follow along with the exercises, but I have major reservations about xttraction exercises and the thinking behind it. Before I get into that I must mention that the book title is clearly misleading. I read this book with the intention of learning if the universe really does align with wants and mihcael.

Perhaps if I had read a true science book, then I would have felt more confident in the exercises, alas I continued as best I could because I really do want to get the things I want, so it was worth a shot. It was all internal attractiion that was not connected to the outside world. This is a problem.

The whole process is self-delusional. In the exercise that tells you to attraciton as many things to describe your desire as possible, the author recommends 50 things. Well, I’m seeking an ideal romantic relationship and it’s hard enough to find one person that has 5 qualities you want, let along 50 to Finally, about defeating self-limiting beliefs. Well some beliefs are truly in your head “I can’t do this” “I am ugly” “Noone wants me”. Other beliefs are actually facts.

And if you’ve tried to apply to many corp jobs you’ll KNOW they want you to change and if you’re SHORT you know there’s nothing you can do, and if you want someone that speaks a different language then the rest of the neighborhood, and you’ve seeked these people out time and time over and they don’t exist, well, that’s true.

So I suppose that’s what attractuon me off the tracks.

It’s not just the lack of science and research I could read that later. It’s not the positive thinking statements I agree with those. For example, say “walk slowly” instead of “don’t run” and say “I am working on getting the It’s the circular delusional statements, and its disconnection with reality that threw me off. Just thinking “I want the perfect relationship with this many qualities” won’t make it happen because there are facts you can’t ignore.

Now, psychologically speaking, this book I think creates more awareness in your mind about the things you’re seeking. Michaek a fact that the more you repeat something the more likely you are to recognize it when it is happening.

So maybe this entire book is not the law of attraction in the universe, it’s actually mental repetition exercise to help you remember what you want and therefore recognize it more quickly when it comes along. And the “clues” are reinforcements to that. Ultimately if there is no universal force acting upon your wishes, and it’s just psychology, then, why do we need this book?

Her dad asked her if she would be okay with them being together, and of ro she said yes, because she wanted him to be happy.

Soon they got married and Taylor moved in with them together with her son James, who was 12 at the time. At first everything was alright — her dad and Taylor clearly loved each other very much, and James was quite easy-going.

But soon, she started to notice sesmtt Taylor was manipulating him.

Even if James did something, it was her fault. It was HER who got lectured by Taylor.

At first her dad tried to defend Monica, but Taylor eventually made him think that she was right, and that she was a spoiled, ungrateful kid. Of course, she would always answer: And James listened to all of this and started to see her as a villain too, and Taylor did her best to turn him against her as well.

Why did Taylor do that? So she approached her grandparents, explained the situation to them, and asked if she could move in with them. They said yes, as they also disliked Taylor very much. She moved out, and both her and Taylor were happy about it. She saw her father just two times a month at best. At worst, they could go for two months without seeing each other.

One day, he called her and said: She expected her dad to call, to apologize, to try to fix things, but it never happened. Nothing helped, even when her grandparents tried to talk about it with him, so she completely gave up on him. Two years passed, and he was still with her, but he was miserable again. Then one day, to her surprise, James wrote to her on Facebook.

She asked him what had made him do what he did, and he told her all about his mom, Taylor, and how she only got crazier with time. Later, she met with James and she was honestly proud of him, because he was such a smart, good guy. He said that her dad was much better to him than his real father had ever been, and Taylor got mad every time he took his side.

He said that he saw that her dad was tired, and maybe someday he would finally separate from her. James wanted them to be friends, even siblings, and support each other, and even if her dad and Taylor separated, he wanted to stay in touch.
