Kenna is trying to console Lola as she received a letter from her parents, disowning her, after they heard that the king has claimed her child. Lola determines to find a way to get her own money, and some independence. Lola is approached by Narcisse as he has heard about her poor luck with the banker. He asks Lola to tea again but again she refuses. Later, she tells Kenna that he probably just hopes to get intel on Francis.
Lola arrives at Narcisse's estate and sees that he actually did want to have tea with her. He offers her a lesson on how to shoot a bow and arrow. During a party, Lola asks Narcisse what he wants from her. He claims to just wants a dance, to help her with her dowry issue, and a bath. He tells her it's the perfect night for a bath and walks away.
Later, Narcisse is out on a castle balcony, watching a woman get into the bath tub he told Lola about, when Lola joins him there.

She paid her laundress in gold to take a bath in front of him. Lola then rests her hand on his saying what he'd told her earlier: In The Prince of the BloodLola helps Francis with a task to go visit Narcisse and and to hide an envelope there in his estate. She gets Narcisse to leave the room as she agrees to take a bath if he'll draw one for her.
She quickly hides the envelope behind a painting. Narcisse tells Lola the truth about King Henry 's death and that he is blackmailing Francis. Back at the castle, Francis asks if Lola planted the envelope but Lola lies, telling him that she didn't have time and also claims that Francis was using her unlike Narcisse.

As she kisses back, she pulls away and slaps him, telling him "Do not seek to take before I give. Along comes Narcisse and he offers her a ride on his horse. She thinks that Francis is after Narcisse to protect his secret, but he tells her about all the people Narcisse has threatened, including their son. She confesses that she did hide the envelope at Narcisse's estate. Later, Narcisse comes to Lola and he stakes the fact that she tried to have him framed for treason as an answer to his proposal of a clandestine affair.
They then asked permission from Queen Catherine if he could stay at court. Catherine asked to speak with Colin in private. Little did Lola know the price for Colin to stay at court would be to rape Mary. Colin got caught trying to do so and was killed for it, thus ending their relationship. See Lola and Colin. This resulted in Lola's pregnancy to which she went into labour during the season one finally.
She regretted sleeping with her best friend's husband. Also ashamed and not wanting her child to be a bastard, she hid the pregnancy from Francis. Until she went into labor which she then felt it was necessary for him to know. Once Francis learnt of the news he left court, regardless of there being a plague to find his child. Fredrick is Lola's older brother. Since he's her only sibling still alive, Lola despite being the youngest of the two, is very protective of her wayward brother.
Fredrick travels around Europe gambling getting himself in debts and a few troubles. Lola goes around following helping him out of these situations. Lola usually struggles of her friendship with Mary because of what she feels for her as a friend and what she feels for her as a queen and sometimes that friendship and that duty are in conflict with each other. As of now, the relationship between Mary and Lola is damaged due to Mary finding out that Lola betrayed her by sleeping with Francis and is pregnant with his child.

Mary feels threaten that Lola will ruin her marriage with her husband. Though Mary helped Lola find a husband so that "he" will be the father.
And all it cost him was the desecration of Lola's memory. Gideon stated his Queen executed Lola, and he understand the bitterness, but not letting his grudge push their countries to war, Elizabeth had no choice, and she suffered from the loss of Lola too.

Reminding him how Lola was just a pawn in his political schemes, her death, a mere byproduct. But he loved her, more than life itself, and was forced to stand and watch as they killed her.
Informing him, there are consequences, taking from a man what he holds most dear. Mary said she was surprised to see him, it could be some time until John Knox was brought to justice for Lola.
Narcisse left Mary with a parting gift. Telling her she was still free to take legal steps against Knox, but he'd taken what Knox valued the most, his testicles. Mary told him he was a monster, and his vile act would not ease his pain.
Narcisse insisted revenge was not meant to ease pain, it was meant to balance the scales. Because he will live with the pain of Lola's death for the rest of his life, but now, he had made sure everyone responsible for it would forever suffer too. Mary realized Narcisse was behind Gideon Blackburn's poisoning because Elizabeth loved Gideon, and now, she knew what it felt like to lose the one she loved the most.
